WWE Announces First All Female PPV Event

On the July 23 episode of Monday Night Raw, WWE COO Stephanie McMahon, flanked by WWE Chairman Vince McMahon and Executive Vice President Triple H, announced WWE‘s first-ever all female PPV event. The event, titled WWE Evolution, will take place on October 28 at the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, NY. The Nassau Coliseum has long been a storied and historic venue for WWE as it played host to Wrestlemania 2, Summerslam (2002), The Great American Bash (2008), and the Fatal 4-Way PPV event (2010).

The event will feature title defenses of the Raw Women’s Title, Smackdown Women’s Title, NXT Women’s Title along with the finals of the 2nd Annual Mae Young Classic. In addition, nearly 50 female competitors from WWE’s current and past roster are expected to appear including Hall of Fame Superstars Trish Stratus and Lita, along with current stars such as Charlotte Flair, Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch, Ember Moon, Asuka, Carmella, and more.

Tickets for WWE Evolution go on sale on August 24 at 10am through Ticketmaster.
