Tyscot Records Launches New Hip-Hop Division

Tyscot Loud MixtapeThe oldest black-owned and operated gospel recording company, Tyscot Records announces the launch of their new hip-hop division known as Tyscot LOUD. The label, known for a powerhouse roster that includes The Rance Allen Group, Shirley MurdockDeitrick Haddon’s LXW and Anthony Brown & group therAPy,  is set to present an innovative twist to their repertoire.

Tyscot LOUD is a fresh approach to gospel music designed to engage millennial culture through the medium of hip-hop. The design is to encourage youth to be positive contributors to society in a ‘loud,’ visible, and radical way. #LOUDMovement is a lifestyle and social media hashtag used to display how individuals are walking in purpose and leaving an indelible imprint of hope in their communities.

“For 40 plus years, Tyscot has built a brand which is synonymous with the best in gospel music,” said Bryant Scott, President of Tyscot Music + Entertainment. “We are excited to expand into the Christian Hip-Hop genre and know that Tyscot LOUD will be synonymous with the best in this musical arena.”

The first project from Tyscot LOUD is the Tyscot LOUD Gold Mixtape hosted by DJ Wade-O. The mixtape features eight newly signed artists: Canino, T.S.O., Dale Evans, B the Messenger, Prodigal Son, Amour, Kaleb Starr, and Royalty.

Look for the Tyscot LOUD Gold Mixtape to release on Feb. 10.
