Sunday Best Winner Joshua Rogers Signs With Mixed Bag

Joshua RogersBET Sunday Best winner Joshua Rogers announces his signing with Mixed Bag Entertainment.  Rogers was one of the final remaining members of the nearly defunct Music World Gospel imprint led by Mathew Knowles. Mixed Bag acquired the singer by way of a buyout from Music World Gospel. Rogers joins the imprint that features Grammy nominee and label founder Da’ T.R.U.T.H., along with Grammy nominees Virtue and pop a capella group Committed.

Joshua Rogers-BMI TrailblazersThe native of Greeleyville, SC came to national prominence as part of season five of BET’s hit singing competition Sunday Best where he quickly became a favorite among viewers and the celebrity panel of judges which included Yolanda Adams, Donnie McClurkin, and CeCe Winans. Dubbed “Young Buck” by the show’s host and executive producer Kirk Franklin, Rogers would go on to become the first male winner in the history of the franchise.

His December 2012 debut project Well Done featured covers performed during his time on BET Sunday Best. The release debuted atop Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums Chart. His 2013 followup project titled Unconditional featured original material and peaked at #2 on Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums Chart.

Rogers is already hard at work on new music as he’s currently in studio with GRAMMY® Award winning producer Blac Elvis who’s worked with Beyonce, Tamar Braxton, Usher, and T.I.

Look for a new single from Rogers this fall with a full-length album scheduled for release in 2017.
