PJ Morton Set For Major Label Debut

It’s been a storied and spirited journey for New Orleans native PJ Morton. The popular singer, songwriter, and producer has come a long way since the days of serving as lead musician for his father, famed gospel artist and pastor Bishop Paul S. Morton. After years of writing and performing as an independent artist, Morton is preparing for his long awaited major label debut project. Now signed to YMCMB, Morton will release New Orleans on May 14.

Morton is no stranger to the music industry. He’s a Stellar and Dove award winning songwriter for his work with DeWayne Woods on the single “Let Go, Let God”. He’s worked with an incredible cross-section of artists in multiple genres including india.Arie, LL Cool J, Monica, Fred Hammond, Trin-i-tee 5.7, B. Reith, and more. He released several projects with his first band Freestyle Nation and three independent solo projects, including the 2010 release Walk Alone. Morton is the newest member of the pop band Maroon 5 and was a part of their latest chart-topping project Overexposed.

The new album is led by the popular lead single “Only One”, which features music icon Stevie Wonder. The release also features collaborations with Tweet, Busta Rhymes, Adam Levine, and Lil Wayne. You can pre-order the new release now and immediately receive the new single “Work It Out”.
