New Hip Hop Gospel Releases

Memphis, Tennessee has a history rooted deeply in the heart of music. You can almost guarantee that any sound created in this city is validated with quality. From Rock and Roll to the Blues, each genre of music is treated with reverence.

Venturing out from the usual style of music they are known to distribute, Mr. Del (Delmar Lawrence), President of Dedicated Music Group (DMG), proudly presents The Gospel of Memphis project. Traditional and Contemporary gospel artists fiercely competed for an opportunity to be featured. From the contestants emerged the finest songwriters, talented vocalists and even some undiscovered musical talents Memphis has to offer. The Gospel of Memphis is an eclectic representation of musical styles featuring artists like, Darryl Petties, Lisa Knowles, Chris Williams, D. McGhee, and others.  The Gospel of Memphis scheduled release date is June 19, 2012.

DMG will also release Reloaded, a new Hip Hop effort by the Memphis, TN based ministry and music coalition, The Holy South. Reloaded marks the 10-year anniversary of The Holy South collective that began in Memphis when founder Mr. Del parted ways from urban gangster rap group, Three 6 Mafia. Mr. Del committed his talents and efforts to creating a special spiritual task force that had an evangelistic mission to win teens and young adults in the city and nationwide. The Holy South continuously pounds the pavement within their home city in addition to extensively touring throughout the U.S., taking the gospel to the masses. Reloaded releases on DMG and Universal Music Christian Group July 3, 2012. Guest artists on Reloaded include DMaub, Canton Jones and Gangsta Boo. With projects like this on the horizon, this summer is definitely going to be a hot one!
