After a six year hiatus powerful independent gospel recording artist, songwriter and arranger Lucinda Moore returns to the music industry with the announcement of her new single titled “Walking In My Favor”. The new radio single, penned by Moore and Grammy Award winning producer Cedric Thompson, makes its way to radio this week. Moore made her her first official public appearance at the 18th Annual BMI Trailblazers of Gospel Music Honors event in Atlanta, GA.
Primarily known as a traditional female singer with a big voice, Moore stretches her musicality and expression with “Walking In My Favor”, a mid-tempo, upbeat tune that encourages listeners to embrace their God-given favor. to have listeners grooving to the prolific sounds and vocals of this Stellar Award winning artist.
A native of Bridgeport, Connecticut, Moore began singing in church in early childhood. By her early teens, she was singing lead in local choirs. Her professional career began when she netted a position as background vocalist for one of her influences, gospel music legend Tramaine Hawkins. She released her debut EP in 2004 titled Unlimited Praise. She signed with Tyscot Records and released her self-titled in 2006. That project was a Top 20 debut on Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums Chart, producing the singles “Pressure Into Praise” and a cover of the classic “Safe In His Arms”.
Her 2010 sophomore effort, titled Blessed, Broken, & Given earned her a Stellar Award in 2011 as Traditional Female Artist of the Year.
