Kierra Sheard Records New Album

On September 13, GRAMMY® nominated and Stellar Award-winning artist, Kierra Sheard, hosted a live recording for her forthcoming self-titled album, Kierra. The recording took place in Sheard’s hometown of Detroit, MI., at Greater Emmanuel Institutional COGIC where her father Bishop J. Drew Sheard serves as Pastor.

The star-studded event featured performances by Le’Andria Johnson, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, and Todd Dulaney. Kierra is slated for release in 2020, in partnership with RCA Inspiration, and will feature the songstress’ new single “Don’t Judge Me” with hip-hop icon, Missy Elliot.

Not one to rest on her laurels, just four days later, Sheard performed with Grammy Award winner Chance The Rapper on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. They performed Chance’s single, “I Got You (Always and Forever),” which Sheard co-wrote and is featured on, from his latest album, The Big Day.

Sheard is also preparing for her acting debut, as she will portray her mother, the legendary gospel singer, Karen Clark Sheard, in the upcoming Lifetime biopic, The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel, set to premiere in January 2020. She also continues to head up her successful fashion line for curvy women, Eleven60.
