Grammy Winner Tye Tribbett Returns With #1 Debut Single

Two-time Grammy Award winner and Motown Gospel recording artist Tye Tribbett has released his first piece of new music in three years with the new track titled, “We Gon’ Be Alright”.  Released on April 24, the uptempo jamp now holds the #1 Gospel Digital Song Sales chart position in its first week of release. Tribbett has previously scored five #1 albums and four #1 songs. “We Gon’ Be Alright” is Tribbett’s third straight Billboard #1 digital track on the Digital Song Sales chart.

“We Gon’ Be Alright” is an uplifting powerful declaration of positivity in light of the tragic pandemic still gripping the nation.

“Tye Tribbett has fused Kendrick Lamar’s hit song ‘Alright’ into a new tune to send a message to people during the coronavirus pandemic: We are going to be all right,” shares The Associated Press. In addition, the AP listed the song in its “40 Songs About The Pandemic” playlist.

“Every time I play the song in my house, my family rushes to dance together and celebrate, even during this pandemic,” shares Tribbett.  “My prayer is that this song does the same for your house or wherever this song is heard as we hope in the promises of a God who has never failed.”

“Tye Tribbett is undeniably one of the most prolific and relevant artists in faith-based music,” shares EJ Gaines, Co-Executive Director, Motown Gospel. “He consistently makes music that gives voice to our collective stories, without compromising the message or the truth of the Gospel.”

Tribbett is globally known for his range of delivering high-energy praise songs to intimate worship moments and from African rhythms to trap gospel beats. His inspirational delivery and ability to inspire through unforgettable anecdotes and stories are often spread virally online by fans and celebrities alike.

“We Gon’ Be Alright” is currently available at all digital outlets.
