Donald Lawrence Teams With Reunited Tri-City Singers for New Single

GRAMMY® Award-winning recording artist Donald Lawrence commands attention on his latest single titled “He Heard My Cry”. For this single, the music luminary and noted director reunites the famed Tri-City Singers while featuring Tri-City lead vocalist Arnetta Murrill-Crooms and protege, hip-hop artist Sir The Baptist. Creating an urgent call of deliverance, “He Heard My Cry” is the second single in the upcoming reunion album from Lawrence with the original Tri-City Singers, celebrating their 25th anniversary.

Co-produced by Lawrence and Sir the Baptist, “He Heard My Cry” is inspired by the tale of Moses and the Pharaoh, with the metaphor that everyone has a Pharaoh within them that can hold them back from reaching their greater purpose.  “The song says it’s time to tell your Pharaoh God’s eye is on the sparrow and he can’t control you no more, He heard my cry,” shares Lawrence.

Renowned for stylistic talents that continue to shape the landscape of Gospel today, the prolific choirmaster, songwriter, and producer will soon launch his new album with The Tri-City Singers, which also features the single “Goshen 432 HZ.”  Donald Lawrence currently remains on the road with the McDonald’s Inspiration Celebration Gospel Tour, which concludes in October.
