Da’ T.R.U.T.H. Set To Release Live Album

Da TRUTH-Unplugged CoverGrammy award nominee Da’ T.R.U.T.H. is set to release a brand new project. The effort, titled Da‘ T.R.U.T.H Unplugged: A Break from the 808’smarks the artist’s first live project and his eighth project in ten years.

This new effort was recorded live in front of an intimate crowd of 75 people at Musically Speaking Studios in Blackwood, NJ. Backed by his band No Name Necessary, Da’ T.R.U.T.H. performed hits from previous and current releases including The Big Picture and The Whole Truth.

“I wanted to perform the B-Sides, the stuff that I don’t normally get to perform at concerts and shows. If you’re a music lover, this album is for you,” says Da’ T.R.U.T.H..

It’s been a whirlwind year for the 3 time Stellar Award winner. At the top of the year, he released the solo project Heartbeat, the first on his new imprint Mixed Bag Entertainment. That project debuted #2 on Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums Chart and #8 on the Billboard Top Rap Albums Chart.  He’s expanded the roster of the label to include gospel veterans Virtue and newcomers Thomas “T.C.” Clay, 15 year old singing sensation Aaron Cole, and winners of NBC’s hit series The Sing-Off, Committed. He also released the label’s first compilation project titled Normal Is Overrated in August.
