In a move that has “legendary” written all over it, GRAMMY award winning brothers Bebe, Marvin, and Carvin Winans have formed the new group 3WB, Three Winans Brothers. The group made their debut as part of the historic 50th Anniversary March on Washington ceremonies held at the foot of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC. At the event, the trio premiered their brand new single “If God Be For Us”, the new lead single from their forthcoming untitled project, set for release in early 2014.
The Winans family is one of the industry’s most influential musical dynasties, serving as icons in the gospel, soul, and R&B genres for over three decades. Long praised for his remarkable gifts as vocalist, songwriter, producer, and performer, BeBe has achieved unprecedented success as both a solo artist as well as alongside sister CeCe in the renowned duo, BeBe & CeCe Winans.
At the same time, older brothers Carvin and Marvin earned comparable applause as part of the group The Winans. Acclaimed for their groundbreaking combination of traditional gospel with modern urban sound and style, The Winans were pioneers and trailblazers in the arenas of urban gospel & R&B, working with mainstreams acts such as Anita Baker, R. Kelly, and Teddy Riley.
Over their illustrious careers, all three brothers have been feted with countless awards and honors, each one a six-time GRAMMY® Award-winner for a cumulative 18 GRAMMYs between them. Now, as 3WB, Three Winans Brothers, these remarkable artists come together as a trio for the first time, blending their countless gifts into an astonishing, powerful, and passionate new vehicle for contemporary inspirational music.
